About Blender Shortcuts
Blender is the world's leading open-source 3D creation suite — used by ~10 million creators worldwide for animation, VFX, game assets, and 3D printing. Blender's keyboard shortcuts are uniquely efficient because of single-letter modal shortcuts (G grab, R rotate, S scale, X delete, E extrude) and Numpad-driven viewport navigation (1/3/7 for orthographic views, . for frame selected, 5 for perspective toggle). The keymap is nearly identical across all 3 platforms (Win/Mac/Linux). This reference card covers the most-used 80+ shortcuts across 7 functional areas: Common file commands, General editing (transforms), Tools (3D View), Selection modes, View/navigation/camera, Animation & timeline, Rendering/file/preferences. All entries are transcribed from Blender's official documentation. How to use - Pick your platform (Windows / macOS / Linux) at the top. - Search any feature name or shortcut text. - Click any row's Copy button to grab the key string. - Export PNG (2400×1140 landscape) for a wallpaper; PDF for a single A4 landscape page. Tips - G/R/S for Grab/Rotate/Scale — Blender's foundational transform trio. After pressing, X/Y/Z to constrain to axis. - Tab in Object mode toggles to Edit mode (and back). 1/2/3 in Edit mode for vertex/edge/face select. - Numpad 0 = camera view; . (period) = frame selected; 5 = perspective toggle; 1/3/7 = front/right/top. - Shift+D duplicate; Ctrl+R loop cut; E extrude; I inset; K knife; Ctrl+B bevel. - Space (in Timeline) play/pause; I insert keyframe; K toggle auto-keyframe. - F12 render current frame; Ctrl+F12 render full animation; F11 toggle fullscreen. Why this separate from other shortcuts? Blender is the only major 3D suite that uses single-letter modal shortcuts + Numpad-driven viewport navigation. Mixing with non-3D tools would dilute this specialized 3D workflow. Splitting keeps each focused.
